To cancer patients, with love

Completing my first year as a pharmacist intern at KHCC, I cannot help but constantly think how a different and a better person I've become! Being submerged under the stressful flow of work, adding to it dealing and for the first time in my life with patients, contributed to the change!

I was amazed by the spirit of the cancer patients! Many of them are cheerful, in fact, on several occasions, patients smile or say something funny or wish us a good luck, I remember once a patient looked so happy and gave me a piece of chocolate! His positive energy has been instantly transferred to me, he miraculously switched my mood! I can't possibly describe the beauty of such situations!

They do inspire me with their strength and beauty, and for that I wrote this short poem.

A dedication to cancer patients

You are the inspiration

To our diseased hearts

Of disposition-too sweet

And Morales-too sublime!

Teach a world-

Groping in the light;

How a faithful spirit

Steadily walks in the dark!

How indelible-your composure!

Astonishing- your strength supply

If leaves wither away

Roots never die!
